My internship with Femme Futures Foundation was a transformative experience that gave me far more than just professional development. I gained a deeper sense of confidence, purpose, and community. Through this internship, I worked alongside my executive team and further strengthened my own leadership skills. Being tasked with event organization and sponsorship outreach, I enhanced my own communication and professional organization skills, as well as learning the inner workings of event planning all together. I was introduced to the development of a 501(c)(3) organization and felt deeply empowered to contribute meaningfully to this social change. Being part of a mission-driven board that uplifts women and the future of the community inspired me every day and helped me see my own potential more clearly. Femme Futures not only invested in my growth but created a space where collaboration mattered/is essential. Working with Femme Futures allowed me to get incredibly in-depth experience that not only allowed me to develop my skills in operations,  media, and graphic design, but also my confidence in executing these skills. 

There was never a moment that I felt unsupported or intimidated to ask for help. I was encouraged to step into my own power in this role which worked very well with my drive to be proactive.
